I have a 2012 SR5 and I'm having no luck with locating ANY type of repair or service manual. The Haynes & Chilton manuals for the 4Runner stop at 2009. The manuals at Helm Branded Merchandise, Fulfillment & Marketing Services are limited to the wiring diagram and the standard owner's manual that I already have in my glove compartment.
I understand the proprietary nature of factory service & technical manuals. Still, it's hard to believe there are no aftermarket solutions or quasi-official publications available.

Service Manual, the hard way
I gave up and went to the Toyota site, paid $15 for a 2 day subscription and spent a few hours finding and printing the sections I thought I may need. A hassle, but it worked.
I took maintenance sections, oil, transmission, diff, transfer case, steering, brakes, cooling etc.
Had to print, was not able to save to share later.

I did the exact same thing except I was able to save as a PDF file.
I downloaded the 30 day trail of Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. That will allow you to make PDF files of web pages. Then it was a matter of simply choosing "print to file" and choosing that format. You can still print to file, it will be in a Microsoft format and not a PDF.
