i happened to notice the CE light was on for a short time during my trip to the dump (transfer station) today. did the T & E short to find out the stored codes, and there were four: 4, 5, 6, and 7. for my '87 22re, those are the water temp sensor, O2 sensor, RPM signal, and TPS. before i got home, the CE light was back off. it's possible i've had some of those codes for a while, and didn't happen to notice the CE light going on when it was triggered, especially since it does turn itself off. or, although it seems unlikely, today's drive could have triggered all four codes.
i guess i've got a little homework to do.
