Several Major Preventative Maintenance Things DONE!!!

I have been doing a lot of PM on my truck over the past few weeks. Here’s a list:

1. New front and back 02 sensors.
2. New KOYO radiator
3. New upper and lower radiator hoses.
4. New Bilsteins (HD) front and back.
5. New upper shock mounts (front)
6. Repaired the rip in the driver’s side seat.
7. New valve cover gaskets.
8. New upper ball joints on front. Lowers done about 18 months ago.
9. New OE timing belt, OE Drive belts, OE pulleys, OE water pump, OE tensioner and OE thermostat.
10. New radio/head unit JVC from Wally World.
11. Detailed her top to bottom
12. Replaced rear axle seals with OE.
13. Serviced differentials.
14. New brake shoes on rear with all new hardware.
15. Brake fluid flush.
16. New poly bushings on front and rear sway bars.


I know it’s a lot but doing the work myself – with the exception of the ball joints, really saved some money. This is the best vehicle I have ever owned and plan to keep it until it falls apart - IF it ever does! Got a great deal on all the OE parts. Thanks to everyone for all the great maintenance and replacement write-ups on this site. Between T4R, YouTube and three factory service manuals, I was able to get everything done with few questions!

even if it cost a bit of money (not compared to taking it to the shop), doesn't it feel good to do all that by yourself????? feels good doesn't it. I'm about to hop on some things this week myself.

I gotta get a TB & WP change in there sometime soon, and a valve job. I really want to do it all myself but the Haynes manual has cation warnings about trying it and being inexperienced... which I am. But with me being so broke I think I might actually try it.:wow:

The key to doing it right will be to take both of them apart at the same time, so we will have two worthless vehicles. And no way to parts store.

But on the rizz, I have 125k on the odo, last done at 60k. Sure, itll go a lot longer, but I plan on doing it this summer.

Never really delved into anything that far in before, although I have seen it done.
