Started off with replacing upper ball joint ... WOW what a PITA !! Took about 6hrs in the 110 degree weather... and in replacing that noticed cupping on my tire.. was driving and just got done telling the wife I think we nee to get a new tire soon and BOOM blow out at 70mph fender fed up bumper bent inner fender whell gone along with stuff under there.. and to top it off it wasn't even the tire that was cupped but once I took the blown tire off notcied that the ball joint is fed on that side too.... FML ....

Wow, Bummer, but glad your alright, blowing @ tire @those speeds can be spooky,

Happened to me once and no Air in the spare !!! drove on the little dognut tire for 30 miles, with no air in it, by the time I got to town, just a metal wheel,
 
That's not very common on that rig. (the upper ball joint needing to be replaced. Lower is more common)
