So its been awhile since ive done anything to the 4runner so I thought I would give you guys a little up date. This weekend I went to LA for my roommates wedding and had to amazing opportunity to leave my rig with CBI Offroad so they could do a little R&D and test fit some new items they are working on.
the Happy couple

OK! now on to the stuff you guys want to see!

Nathan sent me this this morning and I should have the truck back this afternoon! There are other things that they are going to do to the truck so im going to leave it with them again over Christmas while im in Texas. lets just say there might be a lighter rear option for us 4th gen guys:wink2:

Do you have any more pics of the led mount on the hood? Very interesting

Just seeing this thread, your truck setup so far is awesome man! Nice lift and nice rack. Pretty cool that you fab'd it yourself. I'm also interested in seeing how that led box mounted on the hood, that thing looks pretty good.

Those ditch light brackets are sick!! I def want to know more about them! Hopefully CBI releases them to the public.

Do you have a gobi ladder on the back?
I swear I saw your truck on 290 in Houston earlier today.

Nope wasn't me, im up in Idaho right now. I am going to finish my rack and start fabbing up a ladder though.

Thanks man! the rack is still a work in progress though. I have some mesh that im going to put on the rack to finish it but its been super cold and I don't have a shop to work in. Ill get some pictures of the mounting in the morning before I head off to work!

When I picked up the truck Nathan gave me a great idea on a cb antenna mount. Either of the brackets can be used for cb antenna mounts as well as lights. So, im just going to drill an extra hole in the passenger side mount and move my antenna there.

This is my current antenna set up, to the right of the light in going to drill the hole and that is where my antenna will go!

So for Thanksgiving I made the tip out to Boise to see some family and shoot some birds. Got to play around with the 4runner while I was there. My uncle build rock crawlers and had a random set of 37s lying around so I saw if they would fit.

just some 37s, no big deal

I think they would fit with a little massaging
Also got the ditch lights all wired up. I pulled the lights off to take them inside to solder them up and I came out to this!!!
I was literally inside for like 30 minutes and came out to 3 inches!!!

Anyway let there be light!!!

Lights look great! Can we se an output shot when you have a chance? :D

Also, you should really get a spring on that antenna if you don't have one!

I have one, I took it off when i took it to CBI.

Little up date, Truck is back at CBI for a little custom work but i cant tell yet:tape:

I just ordered a set of ditch brackets and was thinking of drilling a hole for the cb antenna as well. If you can snag a pic of yours set up the next beer I have will be to you! lol

binga , see where the light is? Im planning on moving the light over a little and mount the antenna there.

shallcallhimtim Connor I would have to say your girlfriend has received a wonderful set of high beams up front, or she has recently got a boob job. Now I hear more work of sticking some junk near the trunk? SICK! Let's go out again in January when I'm back! I can't wait to go bash snow!
