Hey guys,

I finally have some real money so I am getting rid of my college love. I have a 2000 limited with the Millennium Silver paint. She has 130k miles, eibach springs with adjustable billies up front and lx470 coils in rear with billies, she also has a snorkel, nice stereo, 1.5" body lift, 1.5" all pro wheel spacers, she is in great condition with very little body damage and she drives great. There are some other nice additions too, but I just wanted to get your guys opinion of what it may be worth.

Hahaha I am selling it because shes 2wd. Never ever ever let me down and she crawls over most things, but there are obstacles I'd never try because of that. I bought it in college and now its time to swap for a 4wd.

I am just torn between a 3rd gen 4wd, a 4th gen 4wd, or a 4 door jeep wrangler jk.

That's the plan, besides the suspension. I am going to go for something a bit beefier and more capable. I'm torn on what I want to go suspension wise, but I don't want to get ahead of myself.

look for the same or similar truck in 4wd... same color, and then just swap the stuff from yours to the new truck, if you get an older one then swap the headlights out of yours to go in the older one, and yeah you get to keep all your upgrades that way. dont get a j**p, and why go for the 4th gen? not that they are bad, but everyone i talk to who has a 4th gen and used to have a 3rd gen, or still does, prefers their 3rd gen over their 4th, unless it has the v8. its hard to beat the 3rd gen man, im skeptical the 4.0 or even the 4.7 will handle the miles the 3.4s can and have proven to take with out issue. but its your money and your choice. but yeah if you ask me, you already have a good rig, its reliable ect so no need to be in a rush to find "any old 4x4 3rd gen", find the right one, the one you want, maybe thats a 99 highlander sr5 5spd with rear elocker, or maybe its another silver limited with the rear locker and multimode t-case and you swap the stuff over and after a weekend of work you have a BA 4wd 4runner that is basically ready to conquer anything you can throw at it. -but yeah wait for one the same color and model as yours with 4wd and the rear locker. you will be happy you did!

It looks nice. The low miles may be enticing enough for some. I'd say $6000 to $7000.

So you lifted and built up a 2wd vehicle? Should've held out for a 4wd before you started moding. Hopefully you get your money back out of it

It sounds like you're done with the truck and just want to move on, but you'll take a bath on the mods. My suggestion would be to convert what you've got to 4wd and keep driving it. Get yourself a fun little car to scratch the "new wheels" itch and drive around while you're converting the 4Runner.

As far as price.im not sure what a nice low milage 2wd goes for I'm sure others will chime in.

What can I say, I was in college found the 00 limited in 08 with only 59k miles. She was gorgeous and there was no good 4wd in my price range within like 350 miles.

I know I am going to take a bath on the mods but I am buying a 2000 limited 4wd with an eLocker. I will swap some parts, but for the most part I am looking forward to starting over.

Just convert it to 4WD and you'll be fine. You've already got the lift, tires, and everything else.

If it were for sale when I was buying mine I would have shelled out $6k for it easily. It's a great color and look, plus I mainly need mine for camping and fishing so 2wd is great.
