Gents,
Got my 1st 4R! Been looking for the right one for a long time. Got a couple of plans in the works, forewarning you now, if you think there is going to be 35" tires w/ a SBC etc… this is not me anymore! I've had those trucks and in the end I always got rid of them and wanted a 4R!

So this truck will stay in stock form, until I feel comfortable with the engineering and get a couple thousand miles on 'Sheba' to make sure things are good. Do all the small maintenance stuff, rust prevention and engine basics.

Only having the truck a couple of weeks, which I bought sight unseen, but I did make the Seller drive 300 miles to get her to me; while I drove 400 miles +. Figure you can't BS a 300 mile drive to sell a POS truck, right? Of course you can't!

So I got a 4R 3rd Gen. w/ a 2.5" EMU lift w/ 31" tires, 5spd manual, 4WD; 3.4L. Below is after a good wash, trim removal, clay bar, polish and wax. Trim replaced afterwards and she looks great! Wife is done with me in the garage this past wk!

Later! More to come in the coming months, thanks for the ideas, pics, awesome info and motivation!

So engine started to sputter, knew something was wrong, but had to wait until the wknd. Cleaned the MAF, no avail, still had trouble. Got the computer out and had it checked - #5 coil pack. So got one coil pack and 6 spark plugs.

Next time a coil pack goes, the other two will be changed with the wires too! Pics below on the spark plugs, my guess with the gap in some of spark plugs, they have never been changed over the past 60K plus miles or worse yet, never!

Rim PIC

Painted all 4 rims. With Herculiner! Stuff is awesome and it was easy too.
Steps listed below, only have afterwards pics.
Air down tires
Sand paper with 150 grit
Blow down with air
Insert 'index cards' around rim
Wipe down rim w/ acetone
Start painting, using 3-4 coats of Herculiner

Lessons learned
Put newspaper on garage floor! Common sense!
- Anyways, they look 100% better.
