Question about the feet used to connect the rack to the guide rails. I imagine that you use the same on the full size version. It might just be a visual thing, and not really make much of a difference, but is there a reason that the C shaped feet don't extend a little more towards the side of the vehicle to put a bit more metal on the other side of the guide rail groove? It might just be an aesthetic thing as it would seem most, if not all the real weight is resting on the inside guide rail, with the two anchor bolts on bottom anchoring it down.

This is one thing we noticed today doing some R&D on this rack. We all sadly run prototype versions of our own racks. Which is great because we test longevity etc. but it causes us to overlook small changes like this one that we don't make to our own. Though it causes no real change in the strength and capacity of the rack we are bumping the holes over on all our feet to allow the overlap to be even on both sides for aesthetics basically. It is also worsened in the image of this rack being we didn't line the feet up perfect on our quick install.

For an idea we assembled and installed this rack (also taking my old one off and filming it) in 20 minutes. Love these things.

We also will be uploading a quick and simple install guide on youtube as well as our website for easy installation instructions outside of the written version.

Yeah, it looks like you have plenty of room to bump the holes over a bit. Again, it seems like a small aesthetic thing that is not really structurally significant, but it seems like an easy thing to alter. I dig that you guys are making cool stuff that you are passionate about.

I see that to run power to your roof lights, it looks like you are running it up along your B-pillar. Does that let water in your door at the weatherstripping where the wire passes? Is that pretty much what people do to run power to roof lighting?

Half Rack Update.

Got our first version mounted up and really happy with it, minus some minor changes we will be making.

We will be making each side plate an option for purchase, we will have some real-world images of the other soon.

We will also allow for the choice of purchasing a fairing or not with the half rack.

I've had my wire ran there for many years, even back when I had a double row light-bar over my windshield and it only leaks when its extremely heavy ran otherwise its fine (never been a big enough issue to change it). Some people have been splicing the wire and running it through the furthest hole on the roof track and siliconing it which also works well, another option if you want to splice in a lot of wire is run it all through the grommet on the rear hatch (Where my rear lights are wired) you just have to organize the wire all the way to the front of the rack.

I have yet to have a chance to get this rack up to any speed that would cause any wind noise, Im suspect to believe their wont be much at all with how far back it is. Most wind noise from what I find is cause near the windshield, lightbars, ditchlights etc. We will see though and I'll update as I find out. I also plan to throw my tent and some lights on the rack once I have a free minute this weekend just to see how everything looks and works all loaded up.

Here are the new front feet.
Made entirely from aluminum and stainless hardware, no more rust!

(Note that the feet are supposed to be bolted into the top of the crossbar not the bottom, making the feet bolt look long. It doesn't affect anything but looks and possible usable space)

Got my new updated feet yesterday and wow what a difference.
I hated the noise that the rack still made every little bump without the feet being gorilla tight.
Now just slightly hand tight and no noises what so ever.
Very happy with them.

This is great to hear man, the new front feet are one of the things we have been most excited about. They made such a huge difference. Glad you are liking your set. As you use them please keep us updated on how they perform and please share the things you don't like. We can't grow with out criticism because honesty and transparency is key in this industry.

The light mounted so far back bleeds a little on the roof, it is unnoticeable from the inside and the output is still great.

The half rack looks awesome! I was saving for the full but the half looks amazing. My concern was how well the led bar works being halfway back. Do you have any night shots of the two to to compare?

I don't yet, it bleeds onto the roof substantially but it is only noticeable if your sunroof is open. Light output is still very good paired with headlights.

Yay, finally got my rack in after a small debacle with Fedex. What are you guys spending on the powder coating? I’ve never done it and not sure if should be spending 50 bucks or $200. Just don’t wanna get swindled

We don't powder coat our own. We all use generic Rustoleum Spray Paint, we found the light texture after a few coats of primer works great. I would guess anywhere from $50-$100 but im not to sure. Some people have had theirs done so maybe someone could add their own insight.

I checked some photos on the IG and noticed some looked sprayed. I'm looking at monstaliner stuff as well. But, the rack is here now, so I'll probably make the trip to Home Depot before the end of the day and get busy.

Also, half rack looks amazing! I think it's going to do well.

I love this half rack!!! I know this is prob a stupid question but would it be possible to safely tie down coolers to the rack? I see a lot of tents but I wonder about putting a couple of yeti coolers up there.
