Shift levers

Saturday I bought a 2002 4wd Limited with 84,000 miles, Are the shift levers suppose to move at all while you are driving, It would seem ok for the 4wd lever but the Shifter seems to move a little too forward and backward. Not much like 1/16th of an inch. Seems if the 4wd lever goes fwd the shifter goes back. Just wondering if anybody had noticed this, or now that I mention it will people notice the same thing. I checked the trans mounts and everything looks fine. Any help?

they do that, just wait till the first time you shift it into 4lo, then it really starts moving!

wow ur lucky no one has "advised" you of the search feature. i will say it friendly cause other's here might not.

I highly reccomend that you use the search feature. A lot of people may have already asked the same questions as you. Plus you don't have to wait for a response.

Sorrydidn't dig deep enough, I did do a search and never found it under "shaking shifter" or "vibrating shifter". I did another search and found it under shifter about 50-100 items in from 2005.
