Shift sensor solenoid?

Anyone ever get a CEL due to this? Our 3rd Gen's CEL just came on, but there's absolutely no resulting change in shift characteristics etc.

I'm thinking this is prob. related to the manual OD button maybe? OR could it be tied into the "ECT" funtion?

I am having the same problem...did you ever get this resolved?

Nah...w/ everything else behaving fine, we just don't utilize the 'ECT' button anymore. Haven't thrown a related trouble code since...

I have read others having issues w/ the ECT mode though.

I think ECT is just an added bell and whistle that really does not do anything other than delaying upshift a bit which you can accomplish yourself by pushing the throttle a little further

Hmmm, light went out after a few more miles. Crossing my fingers to hope it was just a termporary glitch.
