Does anyone know if the shift solenoid should be normally opened or closed?
I took off all No. 1,2, and 4 shift solenoids and the lock solenoid and tested all of them. They all seem to be normally closed when I put 71 psi compressed air into it except for one.
The no. 1 shift solenoid had air coming out of the three holes until I connect it to the car battery and it closed. I don't know if it is suppose to do that or if it's bad. I thought all shift solenoids are identical.
