Hey All,
The leather shifter in our 4Runners is boring IMO. It's nice, but could be nicer. I've been looking high and low for aftermarket shifter knobs that aren't stupid looking. There used to be a TRD shifter available for our trucks, but are discontinued
. A shame because they were pretty nice. Anyway, my parents came over to visit. After having some wine, I realized my dad came in his RX350. So I asked for his keys and headed over to both of our SUVs. Taking the shifter out of either SUV is easy (screw it off). I see in most places that they are said to be non-compatible. FALSE. Anyway, there are some Lexus shifter knobs (on fleabay, wherever..) that are gray and have the grey wood tone. Just wanted to share this with everyone.
Boring!!!!!!!!!
Lexus RX350. It is "shorter" but tons nicer.
Taken out: Like I mentioned, the RX shifter is shorter.
Hmm, nice, but it's a shame the stock 4Runner interior isn't wood:
Another:
Anyway, what do you guys think? I know the natural wood trim looks out of place, but the knob design is nicer IMO.
