What are some of the best and cheapest shipping methods to send something within the lower 48 states. I'm looking into shipping a pair or rear LC coils from Cali to Virginia and it is around 26 for the cheapest shipping. USPS is 26, Fed Ex is 28 and UPS (from the website) is 36. These seem like a bit much, but I'm not sure since I haven't shipped many things.

What are some you using for you more bulky and heavy items?

have you tried those USPS "no wieght" boxes they show on tv? not sure if thats the 26 you reffered to or not.

Do you mean the flat rate boxes? There isn't one big enough to fit the coils. The biggest one is 12x12x5 1/2 and the coils are about 17" tall.

What's the weight of the package? You also want to pack it in the smallest box possible. This may mean you have to create a custom box. I ship 90% UPS and have never had a problem with them. One thing you might want to do is see if you can ship to the person's work address. You'll get a much cheaper rate through UPS if shipped to a business address.

It weighs 20 lbs and it sounds about right for the weight and dimensions.
