Shock and coil combo for towing?

I have OME 885's and shocks right now. My 4th gen is a V8 Sport so it used to "have" Xreas. I still have the old coils. And I have a set of FJ cruiser shocks and coils.

I do not offroad this truck anymore. And I want to return it to closer to stock configuration, with a more comfortable ride over the stiffer OME.

I would also be using it to tow about 6000lbs of 1st gen 4runner and trailer combo on occasion.

I am back to the stock tire size of 265/65/17, so I find it tall and not steady anymore for some reason. I'm thinking that if it is lowered again and factory raked it will be become better for handling on the road and for towing with just a touch of lift.

Long story short, should I do FJ coils and keep the OME shocks, or FJ coils and FJ shocks?

I also have front top plate spacers from toytec, never installed, the small ones, 1/4" I think. So I could also do FJ coils rear, and stock 4runner coils and fj shocks with spacer front.

Well these are the parts I presently have available.

Anybody compare the sag with stock coils VS FJ coils when towing?

I'm thinking I could also do an air bag setup for that maybe once a month I might tow the 1st gen if I don't drive it to the trail.

Any formulas you can see that would work best?

FJ's and add Air Lift 1000 bags, and keep your OME shocks. That's my vote.

I would second the above, except suggest using the fj shocks since they are matched to the coils. The airbags would be a must imo.
