im sure this has been discussed before, sorry if im beating a dead horse. I plan on running ball joint spacers and lc coils on my 4Runner. I have almost everything but I have to figure out what shocks I want. I wanted to go with the Bilstein 5125 shocks. Id like to run them front and rear, but i have no idea what length to get. Id rather not put the lift on then measure everything. Ive heard the whole samuri shocks and such but id like something that matches front and rear for a good ride. What is everyone running? oh if it helps i plan on disconnecting the sway bars when on trials

theyre too long for the front and rear or just the front?

You might be able to make the rear work but you would need a shock hoop for the rear. IFS shocks aren't that long, on top of that you will have to buy adapter for the front because you need studs instead of eyelets which will add length. My 5125s have 12" of travel, you only have a couple inches at most of travel with an ifs rig so it would be overkill.
I'm not saying don't buy them by any means. They are some of the best shocks I have ran. I just think a different model would be a better fit. If you are not dead set on bilsteins, old man emu makes some pretty awesome shocks that are perfect for the kind of lift you are doing.
yeah I guess I forgot that the front shocks have a stud on top... its been a while since Ive worked on them haha. I do like OME stuff. Any thought on which shocks for the rear?

I have friends who run their nitrochargers and love them. I don't know the variation in them. Maybe someone can chime in that has an OME setup.

I went with ball joint spacers, OME shocks front and rear, and OME coils. I went with the heavy duty coils, I believe the 901's, and the nitrocharger shocks. Gave Topanga an awesome few inches of lift! I ordered mine off the Rocky-Road website, which has everything OME you'd need for whatever year/make/model car you have.
It did take a few weeks to get, since they are drop shipped from the manufacturer…but, not too big a deal. I have yet to take pictures, they will be coming soon!
