Shock rebuild: how do you?

How do you handle the shock rebuild down time? Spare set? Rent a car? Curious. I've got an icon setup that needs to be rebuilt, and I'm in WI. So find a local shop that's not authorized (perhaps capable, just not authorized) or ship out and back to a rebuild shop out of my area.

I would source a set of used stock take offs, try to find them as cheap as you can? Combine with some cheap used spacers, and you can swap them in and avoid tire rub while the icons are getting rebuilt.

My buddy just picked up a set of 4 2016 take offs for $50. Hunt around for a similar deal?

exactly what i did. purchased a set of stock shocks for the front while they were getting rebuilt. I still maintained lift and clearance with spindles but i just parked it until i got the rebuilt ones back

Or you cold send me your address and I can finally get rid of this single fj trail trams 2014 rear shock. Take one off, rebuild it, do the other side. Got nothing for you on the fronts.

I kept my Bilstein 5100 lift for when I'll need to send the Fox's back for rebuild. Hopefully not for a long time.
