Shocks - Recommendation Needed

Hi Everyone,

What is the general concensus for the best OEM replacement shock? Typically I would go with Bilsteins, but they're pretty pricey for the 4Runner?

I've used Rancho 9000s, Deutschtechs, and OMEs. I like the OMEs.

I'm really liking my OMEs and I've only got the back ones in! Can't wait until I get the fronts done, too. It did take a while to get mine, since they were drop shipped from the manufacturer, and I didn't know that, FYI.

Agreed. The KYB MonoMax (red shocks) work very well for stock 4Runners, and are affordable too. Bonus!

I had them on my 93 for years before doing my suspension lift.

Stock replacement Gabriels work just fine, but if you are upgrading, go OME.

For budget stuff I like pro comp es9000. Otherwise I go with bilstein.
