Hello,
I just recently bought a DANA 44 straight axle for my 2001 T4R. I have evrything for it except my shocks. The thing i was wondering was if i was doing a 4" lift, how long should my shocks be, or how do i find out?

If the axle is installed you will want to basically measure the distance between the mounting points (frame/axle) for the shock when fully stuffed and full droop. This will give you the information you need to contact a vendor to order an appropriate length shock.

I am sure someone will follow my post with more technical details or perhaps an alternative method if mine if old/off info heh.

**Make sure to account for the bumpstops/limiting straps (if you are running any).

first put axle on then take measurements. thats what i did, this is what i have on it right now
(Pro Comp Suspension Model 932000)
Extended Length (in): 32.830 in.
Collapsed Length (in): 18.820 in.

Are you doing a SAS? Links or Leafs? what steering? We need more info to answer your question and when you say dana 44 under a 2001 we need to know your plan (not for the shocks just for the drool) LOL.
