Im goin to be doin the daystar 2.5 lift and Im looking for the rough country nitro 9000's and nobody lists them for a 97 4runner. Does anyone know whats up with that?

I didn't realize that. Wheelers Offroad has them listed for 96 - 02.

I've narrowed it down to them and another set of very similar shocks:

Another member here, 01t4rs, I think his name is Chris works there(check the photo gallery on my link above) so i'm going to try and call there next week when I get back from my business trip. Both shocks seem very similar, so i'm gonna see what kinda deal he can offer up to a fellow member, before I decide. I noticed Rocky doesn't show them as being available for any year after 95' I believe, but i'm fairly sure i've seen posted that they will work no problems.
