I have a 2002 runner sport with 2.5 inch daystar lift and need new shocks wats the best choice would like sum that will work with 3 inch lift when i get money saved up to buy it

Bilstein 5100 D558.....these can be adjusted to get rid of your spacers and then your ready for some better performance springs later, when you save up more after spending $170+ on the billies :biggrin2:

U mean the shocks will lift my runner without the spacers?

no, shocks never take the place of spacers or coils. they work in tandem with them.
what i think he's saying is that the shocks are adjustable and should fit with and without spacer....but i am not to sure of that as i've never seen an adjustable length shock before, just adjustable valving.
i'm just as confused as you are at this point, lol.
that said a shock that will work 3 inch lift will work better on a 2.5 inch left then a 2.5 inch lift shock on a 3 inch lift.
if the shock is too short it will separate from the body when the wheel is at full droop , running shocks that are too long isn't the greatest but will work for a short time if your just trying to get buy,
that said my recommendation is to just do the whole things now and get a complete system that will work great together then trying to piece things together over time and have them just work ok.
got for the toytech front coils and get some billies and ome in the rear and call it good, you'll be out a fair bit of cash, but everything will work,work right and your not going to have to work about breaking things from having a mismatched set of parts running under your truck.
if that's to rich for your blood look at maybe doing one of the other proper coil lifts on the cheap like the lc and ome coil combo, i think you can put a lift of that ilk together for around 500-600 for 4 shocks and 4 coils.

I believe the Bilstien 5100 has adjustable spring perches, allowing between 0-2.5" of lift via the shock. This would allow you to scrap the spacers and maintain the ride height. I've heard the ride quality suffers a bit if you use beyond the 3rd of 5 settings, as the spring is pre-loaded too much, but that's just what I have heard.

oh that's the threaded body shock, i thought he was saying the shock arm was adjustable there for a second.

Any clue how much or where i can get these shocks at? I wish i coul find sum lc coils or ome 1s for cheap im on a really tight budget been on short time at work for past month
