its been pretty cold here this winter again, (idaho) my problem is that im having trouble getting to 195 deg in my motor with the radiator doing its job and both heaters going inside the truck. so i decided to try out how blocking off part of the radiator works. via card board.

i am going to experiment with left, right, top, bottom being blocked off. but still keeping a look out on the temps from my ultra gauge with the temp alarm on as well as my factory needle.

Do you guys have any thoughts as to what position would be best to run with? top, bottom, left, right? right now its on left or passenger side. im goig to take a 20 mile highway run into town here in a bit and we will see how it runs.

Hit and run today in my complex parking lot. I filed a police report for evidence. It's not my neighbor who parks next to me in assigned parking. His car is way too low. Looks like someone backed into me while his car was not there. Criminal might be a JEEP that parks a few spaces down. Matches up just about perfect.

called dispatch just now and same friendly officer is on his way over again to take some more measurements. With this vehicle.

EDIT: wasnt the jeep. measurments are still a little off, plus plastic bumper of the jeep, it would not make the 2 creases on the top and bottom on the bumper.

So here's an update about my cardboard in the radiator.

After a few days of driving it seems the vehicle warms up better when driving for the first time.

I've logged 40 miles on the highway the other day and it ran a touch hotter than 195 deg that the thermostat is set at. My temps during the day on the highway running 70 was 197-199.

All is good. Also I'm currently driving i15 south through Utah, logged 270 miles and temp is at a steady 195. No problems here. Runs great and don't notice a thing.

So at work I have been working on our container truck. Well when the tow companies have a big wreck. They call us for dumpsters. Here are few pictures from, sad to say. Everyone we have been called to has been a Fatality crash.

Yup 1.5. I have not made one yet. But it's in the left overs of uhmw I have laying around. My next problem is bolts. Need to figure that out

Home made body lift done! But I did not skimp any corners. It's the exact same set up other guys are using and grade 8 hardware. With 2 guys and pretty good tools it took exactly 4 hours with running to the hardware store twice for different size bolts.

From floor to fender I'm 38" in the front and 39" in the rear.

I took the lower section of the shroud off. it works perfect. no need to drop the radiator.
