Are you using these same switches? if so you wont have much room. or even see out of your rear view mirrior. the bottom of my switches are in the top of my mirror.
Shit yeah we got some flooding.
school campus got hit hard! its all over YouTube (rexburg flood 2014) and facebook, some people said they saw it on the news over the country.
I got to mob around the water in my truck. it was a blast, i am fine because i live on the second story but tons of families and students apartments got trashed, water 7-8 ft in the basements, then lower lever apartments got about 5 ft inside everyroom. everything is trashed. ok pictures!!!

The next day there was mud, rocks, mulch EVERYWHERE! Street sweepers working 14 hours a day. You see serve pro trucks everywhere. Carpet cleaners. Any type of cleaning company is here in town.
They are 6ft above the basket ball court. See the tree in front of them in the middle of the water?

These are pictures other people took.
Water filled the air vents and eventually brought down most of the air ducks on the 1st floor on campus.
I was inside the testing center taking a test as the storm was going on. I finished my test. 5 min later they kicked everyone out because water was coming into the testing center down stairs!

yeah it was nuts, they only had 2-3 inches of water in it but they had tests the next day. the cleaning crew was working until 4 in the morning.
It was amazing! i was a bit worried about sucking water up my K&N intake but didnt have any problems, but trust me, i mobbed thought feet of water! it was great! some 2-2.5 ft deep.
i found one problem in my deep water exploration! Got water in my lights. Oh well.
i love them there, Im not exactly sure how i like the switch plate. i dont like the holes, i would like to fill in the gaps on the sides, but money money money and time.

Keep me informed with what you decide. Also check how I ran my wires. It worked out great. Also if you planning on running a lot of wire check out eBay or amazon. I for 400 ft of colored wire of my choice for $28

I also trimmed the door a bit more so it closes all the way. Not the greatest mounting bracket but it's where I wanted the lights. I'll have to mold one into the door with fiberglass later.

Good. Yeah messy but it worked for me getting it all planned out in my head before I actually went to build it.

I like the overhead switches! I'm debating if I want mine in the sunglasses compartment or to the rear of it since I like my sunglasses up there

And I saw where you said you're gonna use fiberglass to mold the switches in. That's an awesome idea! I've been playing around with ideas to better integrate my six switch cluster in front of my shifter, since it's wrapped in some sheet metal so it looks like the cluster extrudes from the plastic but it doesn't flow into the plastic and has gaps, I was almost thinking of just JB welding it in and painting it, but the fiberglass idea is great especially since I have a lot of fiberglass experience from boating :thumb3:

I like that mounting plate a lot, that seems solid! Now to just make it all nice and flush, that's always the bigger challenge, OEM-like...
Would love to have some of your wiring expertise sometime, I have a Subaru FMU (like the Hilux Surf) that I'd like to install, as well as setting up my Hellas with my high-beams (a three way switch)... Just need someone to teach me the basics, am afraid to go messing around in all that.
Flooding looks insane, especially for a high altitude desert place like UT! Where I go to school in IN, nothing drains, the fields fill with water and become ponds or frozen lakes... crazy.

(4) 22 inch Ultra Goliath rims w/Cooper Zeon LTZ all terrains. 305/40/22.Usual wear and tear on rims. Only 5k miles on tires however one might need replacing. From a 07 Toyota Tundra.
