dang that was quick! didnt think anyone would notice.
Yeah i had the timing belt, water pump.... whole nine yards done...
The dealer said the water pump was leaking for some time (i know i had to keep putting coolant in it) and it had build up a ton of dirt beneith it. The crank bolt was already loose. (i was already planning on replacing it and had them install the new one) the last person (before i purchased the truck) who installed the timing belt put the lower crank gear on backwards and it was tearing up the "good year" belt.
so i am very lucky things had not gone south before this change and i caught everything wrong with it.
While i had the manifold off i replaced the valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, wires and supercharger.
I am still going to finalize all the wires hoses and what not to make it look better, i was tired after working on it for 7 hours under the car port in 35 deg weather that i just wanted to finish and go inside.
Thus far everything works great pulls strong, no strange noises knocks clicks or thuds.
A few problems with running after the install. turned out my buddy installed the throttle body gasket ass backwards so it had a vacuum leak. but pulled that off a reversed it then it was all good to go.
I get a p0171 CEL and thats a lean condition. no knock pings no other noises while driving besides "whine and hiss" from my CAI
looks like fuel add ons are in my future.
