Shoots Build Thread.

So as another preventative maintenance I sanded and painted the frame again. Last time I painted it was like 3 years ago when I did that write up. And the frame this time actually looked better (less rust) then the first time I did it so I can positively say painting once and a while will help keep up with the rust problems. I'm extremely happy with it. I'm going to probably buy another can of pain and throw it on pretty heavy to better seal it off from the elements.

so ive been working on cleaning up my coil overs. they had some mad rust on them before i started playing around with them.


so about 8 months ago (last summer) i cleaned up my coil overs with fresh paint and greased all the bolts to keep them from seizing up.


so after some thinking and some work on what to do with my coil overs i decided to pick up some phosphoric acid that i sprayed directly on the coil overs, 3 coats, 2 hours apart and let it sit all night.

Then about 24 hours after the first spray down i washed it off then wiped them down pretty good to help take the crap off of them.


I was worried the acid would take the rust off and destroy the threads on the shock body but it didn't, not even noticeable. actually looks pretty good. not bad for $15 from home depot.

So question. How should i keep them from going back to rusting?

so i installed my 2.2 super charger pulley today! HOLY CRAP it moves now!



i have not looked at tune again (i did some tuning already from my 2.37 stock pulley but ill have to keep and eye on my timing and a few other sensors that my wide band and ultra gauge does not show.



it drives so much better!

So for the past couple years the nipple for the over flow tank has been broken off and glued back on multiple times. Well I noticed that it was leaking again and finally said enough was enough.

I picked up a denso radiator on Amazon for $97 and some change. It looked good. From a visual inspection it looked perfect (no shipping problems ether)

So I did the tear down and went to slide it in place, then I noticed it wasn't going to fit without some modifications.

So because of my aftermarket bumper the side brackets for the radiator were hitting them and something needed to be removed.

I did a couple grinds and test fits but it wasn't working. Then I decided to pull out my hammer and beat it into submission. Then it slid right in. SWEET!

So I've got a new radiator and no more possibility of milkshake for another long while if I say so.
 
Wife and i took a day trip to yellow stone sunday for a day trip. it was great!

Yeah. I sent a message to the admin but never heard a word back. I'm going to do it again soon.


Plus I'm all out of stickers! New fancy color ones coming in next!!!
