Shop didn't seat the rear spring properly - big deal?

I redid the entire front and rear suspension on my 4runner only to find out that the cheap Moog rear's I installed couldn't handle any amount of load while traveling. I ponied up for a set of OME 906's and had a shop install them. The drivers side was seated properly where the end of the spring meets the little groove on the axel seat, but the passenger side spring is not seated correctly. I've driven ~600 miles on it and it feels fine, but it's annoying that I know it wasn't installed correctly. I don't have my tools with me so I'll have to find a shop. Is this an issue that I should fix sooner than later? I just don't want to damage the spring.

This isn’t a huge deal in the interim as long as you’re not flexing it out on a trail, otherwise you could drop the coil spring easier since it’s not seated. It is something that needs to be corrected sooner than later though. Can you take it back to that shop to have them fix their error, or are you on a road trip? It’s a pretty quick fix for anyone with a floor jack.

Would it be possible for you to post photos of the correct side and the incorrect side? I want to double check mine…

You should be able to jack up the back of the truck by the frame on offending side and rotate the spring by hand to seat the termination of the coil in its seat, no biggy, no damage will have been caused and over time may even seat its self just by suspension cycling.

I just had Icon overland 3" rear springs installed, is my rear coil seated properly? I was told it should be flush to the notch, but its not exactly flush. Good enough?

I agree with [MENTION=164664]brillo_76[/MENTION] for pictures. But honestly you should be able to get in there and turn it by hand if need be. Lift it up, tire off and get in there. I had to do that recently but it wasn't difficult at all.
