Should anything else be done along with an ARB rear locker?

What comes to mind is how it is advised to at least change the seals, if not the entire water pump assembly while servicing your timing belt. Would there be a similar type of service that is recommended when having an ARB rear locker installed?

It wouldn't hurt, but doing the axle seals is almost a completely separate job. So, really all you are saving is $12-20 in diff fluid by doing them together, plus maybe the time it takes to jack up the truck and remove the wheels, heh.

Well, not just the wheels. Unless you know of a way to pull the 3rd member without pulling the axles, add removing the axles to the equation.

What [MENTION=122062]sambishop[/MENTION] said makes sense to me because you already have the axles out, but it is an additional expense. To do it right, you should replace the bearings as well and not just the seals. You're also looking at labor to do the press work if you can't do it yourself, so if the OP is trying to save money, slap the axles back in and hope he doesn't have an axle seal failure for a long time to come.

Axles and brakes dont have to come apart to pull the third, there's room to just unbolt and slide out the shafts without disconnecting much else

Before you pull the axles use the service manual procedure to check condition of axle bearings That would tell the story about the bearings go from there. The seals will be staring you in the face doing this job, pull and replace at a minimum.
My 96 has never been opened 365k mi, 01 I puchased Feb 17 198k had leaking right seal. Performed bearing check all good, replaced seal. found breather was clogged. Things you change with TB a bit different with how everthing is layered.
