1985 Toyota 4-Runner SR5 4x4

saw this on my local craigslist add but i don't know much about 1st gens. i have a 2nd gen 2wd but always wanted a 1st.

who thinks this is a good deal or is it bad?

Seems alright. Anything that runs is worth about $1500 so I'd say that's about right.

Possibly worth it, but with all that rust it"s gonna need a lot of body work. If you decide to check it out make sure the frame isn't rusted through. I wouldn't touch it with a 10ft pole, but then again I picked up mine for $2200 with no rust and less miles with a lift and new tires. If it runs well, offer a grand and either restore or enjoy a woods toy

I wouldn't pay $1500 for that, but somebody might see the solid axle and think it's worth that much. If that was IFS it might fetch $1000. The inside is beat up, the exterior is shot, and that motor looks like it's been rode hard and put away wet.

I'd go $1200. Tops. And that's if the chassis isn't rusted away and you're willing to put in a lot of work getting the rest of it up to snuff.

yeah i was afraid of the rust too. the pictures don't really show every angle. I think i will go take a look at it and see how bad it really is. as far as the interior is concerned i don't mind it being torn up.

a big plus is the semi low miles and the fact it is the original owner!
