I did mine all the way around, bumpers, flares, and cladding... I also did the tag surround and emblems black... After that I debedged it and only put the 2 black Toyota "T" emblems back on...

No way. I painted mine black because mine is a 97 and it came with the plastic black flares that after a few years of getting wax on them look like crap. I wish mine had your flares.

but because you painted the grille already, i do think they would look good in black.
i wouldn't do it on yours....but that's just me.
i have a stellar blue with gray flares and i LOVE the contrast!!
