Should I repair it or replace it?

Both sides of my bumper are like this. Is this worth repairing or should I just buy a new bumper (or pull one off a junker somewhere)?

What would be a good way to bend it back? I've been thinking of trying to wedge a bottle jack in there somehow and push them out.

It doesn't have to be perfect or even pretty, I just don't like them bent in like this for obvious reasons.

If you want to try bending them back some, try heating up the area first, that makes it much easier to move the metal. May work easier to remove the piece too. Luck! :cowboy:

An afternarket steel bumper will fix that right up.

Bend it back and then powdercoat black to hide any deformities that may occur during the bending process. You are also able to hide that unsightly chrome at the same time

I've been considering that as well. Perhaps, if my attempts at repair are less than satisfactory—I'll just replace it.

I'm actually considering matching the gray paint of the limited flares and painting the bumper the same. Looks good in my mind, but might look like crap in reality.

A good port-a-power could bend that back, even a bottle jack although unwieldy to use. A heat gun won't help you and using a torch would change the color of the chrome. Those bumpers are not made of sheet metal, although they appear to be cheap, they are strong.

I would give the bottle jack a try, of course it could be a good excuse to go buy a new CBI or ARB bumper right?
