Now I see where you went too far on cutting the valance, just use some auto rubber door moulding for the unfinished cut plastic to give them the finished look you're after..go to Canadian Tire.

I knew Canada was big on recycling but WOW!:lol:JK It looks good and there's absolutely nothing wrong with using old stuff, hell I have an entire drawer and shelf labeled "OLD STUFF" for just such occasions.

Thanks for the comment man! You know what....I actually bought a strip of that molding from Canadian Tire, but all they had was chrome. I decided to squash that idea though, as in the spring I plan on taking the valance off, cleaning up the edges, using some filler, and then painting the whole thing the same color of my truck. I might also just plasti-dip it, but I'm waiting to see some threads on how durable this stuff is first......

I'm so glad I finished this yesterday, as today it's like -10 Celcius and FREAKIN COLD! Paint would not have dried at all!!

I agree, but I haven't been able to find any that fit these lights.....They are made by Westin.......the old covers were White with the word "Westin" printed on them.....they cracked and broke 2 years ago....

Night shots!!!

So, a little disappointment here. I turned them on, and found them pointing to the sky! HA HA HA!

The pic is a little dark, but if you look closely, the bottom of the light pattern is pointing on the top of the tree!

I guess I'll have to work on those again this weekend!

I'd like to see what people have done to the 99-02 fat lip bumper for aftermarket fog lights.

I got some 2" round LED's off amazon and made some aluminum brackets to adapt to the stock location, using the stock pigtail for wiring. I was trying to keep the factory look without cutting a giant hole in the front of the bumper for a light bar. For how small they are, they are still brighter than my headlights, and only $20 bucks.

[MENTION=84811]Tinman1985[/MENTION] those look great. I have the factory fogs on my Limited but I'm looking to add aftermarket fogs too because they dont do much. The 4" PIAA Ion Crystal Fogs on my 3RZ have me spoiled & I need more light output. I could barely see in a snowstorm driving home from work the other night. I could just drill 2 holes in the bumper & add the same PIAA's but I wanted to see if anyone had good results with a cheaper product & maybe being more creative. I don't want a light bar or a square Rigid lookin LED. Round, Oval & retro work for me. And they need to be real fogs, not a driving or offroad light.

I was looking at these. Maybe lower in the valence on each side of the licence plate.

For my auxiliary lighting, when I got my 4runner I wanted to put a 20” bar in the lower vent part of my fat lip bumper. Unfortunately, I live in a state that requires a front license plate. Not wanting to just bolt the lights to the bumper, I bent this out of a used piece of conduit I got for free.

Now having had it for almost a year, I still love the look of it. The black breaks up the otherwise all millennium silver front, plus I haven’t seen another like it. Here is how I did it.

The downside is off road going more the 5mph it vibrates a little bit, making the lights look kind of like they are flickering. It’s not bad, but worth mentioning. If I did it again I would make it 2” wider so all 4 holes would be able to bolt through metal, currently the inner holes are just through plastic. That’s what you get for not measuring. When I finally put my fog lights in, I will cut out plastic beside the license plate and put them there.
