Show me your tail lights!

Wow 8sm! Those tails look great on your rig! I was thinking of buying those, but I'm looking for something darker....or newer OEM stock looking....still conflicted! !

Thanks Fight, sorry for the huge close up. But I wanted to show how well they fit if there where any doubts.

I had seen the smokes on another white runner which sold me on trying them. The photos on ebay appear darker or lighter depending on which sellers listing your previewing. I was concerned until I got them, having said that the tint is exactly what I had hoped. I really like Tailhead98 tails on his white runner, if I'm not mistaken they are an LED OEM look. Whatever your flavor, you can't go wrong. The LED Tails offer a different look, but non the less an awesome one.

IMO, your getting quite the show here especially your color rig, that should give you a real time look at your options. OEM or Darker would be good choices for your color.

So far, you've mod picks have been right on, I'm certain whatever you choose will look awesome.

Good Luck.....8sm

Hey how did you spray the nightshade on? I just bought some and I'm going to try it out on an extra set of tail lights I have.

1000 grit sandpaper on the lens, wipe away sanding residue. Make sure it's dry.
Do light, even coats of the spray. let dry 10 minutes between coats.
Let dry 45-60mins after final coat after desired darkness is reached.
(will dry to be a little bit darker than final coat, but can be sanded off)

1000 grit sandpaper again, to prep for clear coat. wipe away sanding residue.
same coating process with clear coat spray, except with thicker coats.

Ok sweet. Yeah picked up some night shade, clear coat and 1000 grit sandpaper this morning. All of this is done on the outside of the lens correct? Just want to make sure. :bash:

yup!

And to anyone else reading. Take the lights OFF of your 4runner first.. or atleast mask it off REALLY well.

What's up gotta,

Nah....your eyes are fine. There's just a whole lot of white and a big smoked taillight in your face. LOL

I thought to comment on the photos. The top one was taken outside full sun- light as opposed to the other taken parked inside with the garage door open, indirect light, if that make sense.

The color is right in between the two photos but closers to the bottom photo, not dark at all.

p.s. the top photo was taken 5day after fresh paint. Which explains the intense clean white. It's House of Color Imperical White.

Hope this helps....8sm

yeah man thanks! im wanting a darker tint without painting it, so it sounds like its perfect then... super dark in the day and decently clear during the night. i like :bravo:

this thread made me realize, **** i dont have any photos of my led tails!

everyones got some sick looking ones.

Here is a picture of mine but I am really close to purchasing some OEM looking LEDs (maybe the tinted ones? what do ya'll think would look better on mine?)

Anyway, I tinted the white foggy part of my tails to match the body color.
