Tow strap =/= recovery strap.

Just a heads up in case it was purchased with the intent of being used off road so you can return it before it opened.

Tow straps are static and do not stretch. Recovery straps are dynamic and can stretch with load. That is a basic view but if your trying to get a strap to recovery a stuck vehicle, get a recovery strap. Its better for both vehicles.

No pictures but I got a set of Toytec/Eibach front coils (112620) and a Kicker CVR12 and all the necessary wires. Time to make my cargo box!

And recovery straps don't usually have fixed end fittings because they break.

TRD- careful, normally you try to stay away from the straps with metal hooks on them cause if they break they can come flying. As far as I know the metal hooked ones also have no stretch so puts more stress on the trucks

You're getting some great advise regarding that "recovery strap"!

Those sewn-in hooks are just waiting to become shrapnel and they are probably cast Chineese instead or forged.

We teach static and dynamic recovery using KERR and straps - sewn-in hardware has no business in a recovery. Period.

I got $100 to spend on something for the runner i have no idea what yet, and 700 watt inverter. maybe i'll get a "recovery" strap now from all this craziness i'm reading from the tow strap i have like stated above ^^^ scary stuff

You can use it to tow someone, like on the highway. but not to pull someone out of the mud...

I got a new driver's seat cushion, a 3.5 ton jack, and my Savage Offroad sliders will be here in a few days. Then my dad is painting/welding the sliders and painting the front end at his shop.
