Great looking group...Rescues are the bestest dogs ever!!!

Pound puppies are for sure the best dogs...thats where i got both of mine

and to ALTAHLC i love the fact that you have a pit and love to show it off...they are great dogs and just have the worst stereotype on them. Duece(my doberman/whippet) even gets scared looks because he looks like a dobie with a white chest. so keep up with the good work rescuing all those pups!

I have a pure bred fox red lab... and to be completely honest, from here on out I will only get rescue dogs, no more pure bred.. all that inbreeding causes so many problems, my lab was 850 to buy, and has cost roughly 4K in surgery. And from talking to others It seems purebreds are just prone to more health problems because of all that inbreeding. Whereas a nice mut is bread a little more naturally lol. Anyhow, I do love my dog, even though she's so costly she even gets the paper for us in the morning. I'm thinking of getting her a young friend, maybe a doby or shepard mix of some sort. Probably a doby mix

these are my pups Duece and Kirra. Duece is a 2yr old doberman/whippet (fastest dog you will ever see) and Kirra is a 1yr old australian shepard/border collie mix. one of their favorite things to do is hop into the back of the 4runner and take a ride out to my property to run around in the woods and team up to hunt rabbits and such lol

Gorgeous dogs! I really like that Aussie/shepard mix!

Prince was one of 11 Black Labs at the pound that day. I think he was $70. A month later we took him to Sun Valley and all he wanted to do was play catch on the golf course and play in the icy river. I can't imagine life without him. What a joy.

Figured it has been a while since I posted any recent pics of the doggies...The Golden is 12 years old going on 13 soon. The puppy is 1 year old now (Husky/Auss Shep mix). I shot these on a Death Valley prerun.

The Dogs at BadWater(Lowest Point in North America)...dogs aren't allowed there though...so DON'T GET CAUGHT! I didn't :cheers:

i have a doberman/whippet mix(you can see pics on a few pages back) and he is sooo fast!
everytime i bring him to the dogpark/beach people go crazy cuz of how fast he is...but it also helps that he gets fed like a champ and goes swimming all the time...basically looks like i feed him steroids haha

We rescued Franky from the pound at 5 months old. Pitbull/Lab mix, he was a real handful as a puppy. He was actually returned back to the pound by the previous people who adopted him because he was so hyper. Turned out to be a great dog. Needed an SUV to cart him around so he's the reason I bought a 4Runner.

I always show my also-dog-loving girlfriend pictures of all the dogs on here, and she "awwww, so cute....OH MY GOSH I HAVE TO HAVE THOSE BOOTIES FOR OUR PUPS WHEN YOU TAKE THEM ROLLERBLADING."

Can you help me? She won't stop talking in CAPS until you tell me where you got those things.

Yeah, rescue dogs can make some awesome companions. The boots are made by Ultra Paws. They're one of the most durable boots out there but they can be a little stiff. Make sure you size it correctly so they don't get sore spots on their paws. It cracks me up when he trots around in them. He sounds like a miniature Clydesdale.
