Here is her incision, it was longer than my hand. She spent 11 days at UGA vet center, came home, tore her incision open and had to go back to our regular vet for new stitches for another 10 days! The hardest part was being away from her for so long. She went in at 65lbs, came home at 48lbs. Made your heart sink, but she almost back!

Thanks Nate and Terri, Zoey is doing much better now and for the most part is back to normal. I remember my wife says to me, "apparently you only cry when you think your dog is gonna die". I was a freakin wreck for the longest time. The biggest thing was thinking she was suffering and me not being able to do anything about it. Sorry to bring the thread down, I'm just so very happy I have her back. Dogs rule!

So I didn't even know this thread existed till the evening. Here are my two German Shorthairs, Gunner (the brown one) is almost 2, and Echo (the black one) is almost 1. Last two summers of puppy has been eventful but now it's all worth it..and we essentially bought our 4R for them since they go everywhere with us.

Love em!! We're just getting to know the breed and the 5 months we've had Sloan have been unreal. She is just the sweetest dog you can imagine and the smartest thing ever. My wife makes fun of me because I tell her that she totally understands english, she knows exactly what I'm saying, all the time.

The only thing we are really struggling with is her being so over anxious with new people coming into the house. She just loses her mind and gets so excited. She jumps a little, but is getting better, but she just "herds" them to no end and circles their legs or does figure 8's in between them. Dog people don't care, but some of the kids' friends get a bit freaked and people who aren't big dog-people don't like it either. So, we're working on that.

This was a month ago or so, going to Puppy Daycare
