Samoyed

I have a Samoyed named Bear. I take him everywhere in my '04 Limited. Bear loves the window in the back that goes all the way down.

We have two Weimaraners--Spirit and Luna (as in lunatic). Luna was a rescue dog and has some issues, but we live far enough off the beaten path that she dosen't have to deal with other people. She does have some redeeming qualities--primarily, she loves to fish with me. They both love riding in the T4R and my Super Duty. Regards, Mike

Dog Owners

What do use to cover your back seat and/ or cargo are to keep dirt, mud, water, hair, etc. from destroying the seats/ other material?

My wife and I have a 2 year old Westie and use a beach towel to cover the bench of the back seat. The towel is big enough to tuck it into where the bench and back rest meet as well as under the bench by the pivot points (when you put the seats down).

We are getting a second dog, meduim build, not sure of the breed (I think some kind of lab mix), 12-18 months old, about 40lbs don't think she's going to grow much more... I think it's time I got something a little better suited for the dogs, something like this: http://www.hunterk9.com/site/870877/product/PE-US9501 (I prefer something black). Any suggestions, experiences, comments you could share about what's works and what doesn't?

I've had good luck using a 'dog hammock' style seat cover. The one I have is from Thule, but I checked their website and it seems they may not make it anymore. Here's a link to an eBay auction of a similar product: http://tinyurl.com/cfxntd

Also - a couple times a year I buy the foam automotive carpet cleaner with the integrated plastic brush cap. It does an awesome job of getting dog hairs out of the carper - superior to vacuuming alone. Good Luck!
