Show us your rack!

all the Surco ones I see here are only 5 inches deep

Roof Basket - Google Product Search

i'm more talking about the flat surface as opposed to the rail design, the actual depth is about the same as you were saying , it just feels more guarded to me.
congrats on the rack man, i'm sure you'll love it and i'm just being picky is all, the runners look naked with out a hat on imo. great addition just in time for Christmas!

Speaking of having Christmas lights on our trucks, I was wondering if that's legal or not. More especially at night.

I think it looks pretty cool.

Yes its legal. Your getting more into the gray area if you have them flashing and chasing but just the lights no, your fine. No cop is going to pull you over for having christmas lights on your roof rack. It is blatantly obvious they are chrismas lights.

no need to move it back... just get the extension :bigok:

I dont have any pics of mine right now. I'll have to load it up and take some pics.

I went ahead and moved this thread from the 3rd gen. to the General Discussions. I think any 4Runner looks better with a good rack, don't you agree?:girl:

Well, mine is not as fancy as all the other previously posted... but, it's homebrew and cheap. :P (sort of my way hehe)
And it serves it purpose.

Here it goes...

:lmao:
hahaha I always get a good laugh when I see those Iceland trucks with the huge balloon tires

what happened in that last pic? fishing with your winch?:fishing:

question for you BajaRack guys:

can you easily slide it out and slide it back in? is it a one man job?

i know with the factory rails you have to have one person guide it in while someone else spins the little nuts until they line up...I'd like a rack I can easily slide off for car washes and parking garages and whatnot
