show us your safari bars

Hello Everyone,

I am getting ready to purchase some type of safari bar for the front bumper that I can put lights on. I have seen some cool ones on the forum and would like to hear some opinions from those who already have one and where you got them from.

I got mine on eBay, $100 shipped for the stainless, plus 35 shipped for the mounting kit.
ill post some pics within the week sometime.

i dont have any lights yet, but im looking at getting hella 500s

I bought the factory toyota one on ebay, I dont think it would provide any protection, but really none of them will. At least this one will crack before it bends into "the good stuff." You could mount some lights on it if you were so inclined.

I have to disagree with you. I've hit a concrete post/wall 3 times already with my T&H bull bar at about 5mph. There's still no dent/scratch (knocking on wood). If you were to do that with your OEM guard it would crack and cost you about $500 to replace.

that's pretty cheap PirateVI. sounds like you got a good deal. I have seen those bars they do look nice. I'm trying to find one that wraps arond the bumper, not a grill guard though that protects the grill and headlights but around the fog light area. I've seen some on peoples trucks but don't know where they found them. I know they have a bumper push bar but it doesn't wrap around with the curves of the truck. I'll have to find the pic and post it of what i'm talking about.

T4RMatt I have seen your bar, actually I tried to talk the dealer into throwing one on if I bought the truck from them but now dice. Those damn salesman are so cut and dry. Well I still bought the truck from them because I really wanted it. They were happy to put it on for an additional 5-600 dollars and obviously I said forget about it. But It's sharp. I didn't know you could mount lights to it, that is cool I thought it was all plastic.

TranceKraz those tal and hadas ones look like they can take on a concrete wall so i'm not surprised. I'd still be pissed if something hit it but it sure looks tough javascript:smilie('')

T&H EuroTech Bar. I was originally going to powdercoat it to match the cladding, but then I decided I like the black on grey look a lot. Now I just need to re-attach my PIAAs and hide those ugly white clips:

did you by chance look and see that this thread is from 2005? i mean its not as bad as some that have bumped a 10+ year old thread but most old threads are all people that are not on here anymore
