Yeah, I did. Now I look like an idiot. hwell: But I still think I would prefer to leave the swingout at home for daily driving, even though it looks awesome.

As for the receiver, I thought it looked a little different than mine. Why did they fabricate a new one?

The receiver is built and fastened in the same manner as the factory one, but sandwiches the bumper between it and the frame. The holes on the factory receiver wouldn't line up with our bumper being in place, so we made one that would.

One step ahead of you there buddy. Not something we had to worry about on yours, but the production design has ~2" taken out of the rear flange on the driver side of the hatch latch to allow access the stock spare mechanism.

Indeed, they seem to make excellent products but the lead times are hard to swallow (*note I do not personally own any or have any on order). I think this looks like a near perfect offering, not a huge fan of the "gap" between bumper and the rear hatch just in front of the latch seems to large for any flex concerns but i suppose it is what it is and easily filled in with rubber trim etc.

The gap is left that way to leave room for the factory shell to be refastened. if you wanted I suppose you could trim a bit more of the factory bumper and reuse it to fill the void, but that is a good deal of cutting and I wanted to keep that part of the install as simple as possible.

You should be able to fit the same size spare in the factory location. Our bumper is a bit higher than the stock one so the spare will be a bit more visible than it normally would be on a trail model, and a good bit more visible on a limited.

Stole this pic from JPCLARK. The lights hit right about in your mirror area, but there is a dark spot right down the center. Still a large improvement over the factory backup lights.

I run 285/70 R17... It's in the pics.

Stole this pic from JPCLARK. The lights hit right about in your mirror area, but there is a dark spot right down the center. Still a large improvement over the factory backup lights.

I personally didn't wire them with the backup lights... I used a separate switch.

The Jerry cans are two single mounts fastened together so that have to option to run a single if you want. Currently no Rotopax accommodations.

I don't know what it would take for the purchaser to be able to add a rotopax bracket to that spot, but it would be nice to be able to do that. Would it require extra cross supports to do this? Not sure I'd go that direction, but the potentnetial to stack rotopax and maxtraxs back there is nice.

Shrockworks did the install... I'm happy as it is. Besides, I doubt they even have the pieces anymore.

Approx How much does this weigh? I wonder if ill have to switch from my SAW springs since i already have a lot of weight in my drawer system.

Do flush mount rigid srq lights fit in the holes? Looks like the reguar srq are mounted but I already have a set of the flush mounts sitting in a box.

Do you think that camera mod listed works w the rear view mirror display or is that just for the nav screen?

Why no license plate on the jerry can metal braket? The wheel seems ike an inconvenient place. Besides Most of us dont have cool color matched TX licence plates.....

I believe Justin said it's about 110 pounds. However, given how it hangs off the back end, the effect is somewhat more.

This is a question for Justin. There are mounts inside the bumper for the regular lights... they just sit perfect to they are fluch.

I'm afraid I have no idea.. I only researched the requirements for my need. I may suggest talking to some car audio/video experts. In my case, I spoke with Car Toys to determine my options.

You could mount the license where ever you wish.

Suspension consideratations

As many of you know, I swapped out my rear springs immediately after getting the new bumper. I'll do my best to detail the reasoning.

Before the new rear bumper, I ran Shrockworks front bumper (and winch), full skids, rock rails, and Gobi's roof rack and ladder. All that was well supported with Icon's Stage 2 suspension. Having pre-loaded the front coils a bit, the rig rode completely level.

After installing the rear bumper, the rear did in fact come down SLIGHTLY. (About 1.5 inches.) While the visual aesthetics were barely visible, what you WILL notice is that the rear end felt a little "floaty". It reminded me of the feel when I was loaded to the brim in the rear.

Because of these dynamics, I swapped out the standard 2" lift Icon rear springs with Icon's 3" heavy duty overland springs. Doing so raised the rear end about 1.5"... again making me level. But more importantly, the ride again felt "solid".

My thoughts... if you're not running skids, roof racks,rails...and/or you opt not to have the tire mount, you may well get by without the need to upgrade your springs. But... if you're completely built out.... you'll be doing just like I did.

and to think I was about to ask if the quality control had improved so I wouldn't get a dozen extra fasteners I didn't need and was missing several that I did need.....

The great aesthetics make up for sins, but it would be nice to know how it was suppose to go together and get the right parts

I think it just comes with the territory, dealing with smaller fab shops. They produce brilliant things but are a bit lacking on minor details (fasteners) and documentation. I am guilty of the same, but in a large organization have armies of project managers that drown me in conference calls until I produce detailed documentation, and armies of support personnel who ignore that documentation and call me anyway.
