The spare that's already mounted under the 4runner and weighing down the rear springs? Granted the tire hanging off the back creates more leverage than sitting under the cargo area, but you won't be able to recreate that.

Sorry for the confusion. Yes the spare the will be attached to the rear swing arm. No doubt you will be running a bigger size tire then the oem spare. My previous wheel/tire setup each weighed @80 pounds.

Good point my spare is being replaced with a TE rim and a 275 70 17 K02 as opposed to the black steel rim and oem tire. I imagine it's about a 20-30lb difference.

Was leaving Lowes down in Houston and ran across this guy. Shrockworks sliders, front and rear bumper. I haven't read all the posts but the rear bumper was option B layout from OP's post. I spoke to the owner for a split second as he was running into the store, I took a quick look at his lift it was a fox lift with side reservoir. He had other stuff but I'm too new to t4r to spot all the components.

Yes, it is true. Thanks to all the ShrockWorks guys (for such a great stuff and desire to meet customer's requirements) and especially to Justin and of course to Dave from BRAVE Motorsports for installation all the weld-on and most of bolt-on parts.
It is not a "lift" ...actually it is whole new suspension :yo:

And during that also have discussed with Justin couple of things ...and how it will be manufactured for the second bumper, as far as yours was the first, but the second is mine. And after the first pictures of a new bumper from Justin I've found your profile on a photobucket with a bunch of pictures of my new bumper

Got my rear installed. Here are some pictures...
I did however change the way I trimmed the bumper. White without trim across the bottom stuck out like a sore thumb. so I followed the bumper edge all the way across. Piece that surrounds latch looked odd so i just cut it off. Will rattle can it later.
Over all I am super excited. Bumper looks great and excellent quality. Only ran into a few bumps but all in all install took between 4-5hrs with wiring and extra bumper triming. prob 3-4 if I had done the bumper the way Shrockworks suggested.

I ordered a front and rear bumper from Shrockworks in mid-February, so I SHOULD be getting them in late June-ish. I know I'll miss the backup camera (I live in the D.C. area) and my wife will greatly miss it. After searching, I haven't been able to determine if I'll be able to wire an aftermarket camera to the pre-existing power wires for the original backup camera. Additionally, anyone know if a video RCA male plug will work for the 2014 Entune system? I'll tear it apart in June to find out, but it'd be great knowing ahead of time. Those two options, splicing into pre-existing power wires and plug and play video wiring, would resolve my backup camera issues with ease. Thanks much for any pointers, wiring is not my strongest skill, but I'm learning.

Found out from UPS on Friday my front and rear shrockworks bumpers will arrive on 02 June. I ordered everything on Feb 18th and they quoted a 4-month lead time, so a little over three months isn't too bad based on their quote - I was expecting delays up to about 6 months total. Do I have to be home for this shipment? Or will UPS just drop them in my driveway? The email didn't clarify and I'm trying to figure out if I need to submit leave on short notice. I will call them tomorrow and try to figure that out from the horse's mouth, but just in case I don't get a chance or can't get through, I'd appreciate any advice (I don't normally get 585lb packages. Very excited to mount everything a couple weekends from now and to thrash em' about on the trails!
Just got my front and rear on Friday. I finished the rear earlier minus needing a new swing arm bolt. It's f'ing awesome. Love these bumpers.

Wow, 586 lbs! That's a lot of weight. Assuming the pallet or shipping box is some of that weight, 550# is a big part of the maximum payload capacity of 1550 lbs.
I like the look and rugged durability of the back bumper. And I want a better place to carry the spare tire. But it does appear to be lower and longer than the stock bumper, which would decrease the departure angle.
Any thoughts on either of these points? Thanks.

I agree that is a lot of weight. I hope it comes on 2 pallets so my brother and I can hump it into the garage, other wise I'll have to hook up some sort of come-along to slowly "winch" it in, since my winch is in a box waiting for the pallets. The front is supposed to be 137lbs (without hoops?). I got full hoops on front and the rear swingout with jerry can holder for the rear bumper. I was really hoping it'd only be about 400lbs together, we'll see. I can try to weigh the wood afterword.
Concerning the departure angle, I think it is exactly the same, but I'd have to read through some threads to double check. Regardless, now I won't worry about dragging the ars of this thing as much and that's benefit enough for my needs.
They give you lug nuts but all three of mine striped. Either they're soft cheapos or the wrong thred pitch. I ended up just throwing regular nuts on there in M12x1.5 pitch. I plan on ordering some good quality ones a da locking lug nut.
