Howdy... I'm JP... Heard quite a bit about your rig from Dave, Mark and Justin... Was hoping to come across you somewhere. Why don't you come wheel with some of the groups in the area? Remember Dave mentioning a guy on this 3rd skid? That's me! LoL. For starters, we have a small group of Facebook called Texas 4Runners.
JP- I believe you were at Royal Purple the same day I was there . The before and after photos.....

Hey all... I really need to give Justin some major kudos on this work. The rig came out awesome! As for the rear camera - I'm in the same camp as most others here. I'm off to talk with some folks next week to figure out how we're going to get the rear camera re-worked. I'll be sure to post any findings here. In the mean time, enjoy these shots! As for the Gobi ladder... PERFECT! Even when carrying the Hi-Lift and Jerry cans, nothing was rubbing against each other... PERFECT spacing. (Oh... and just as a reminder... the receiver is removable and is NOT attached in these pics.)
The exhaust coming straight out the back doesn't do anything for your departure angle. But the truck looks great.

Rear Bumper looks amazing, was pretty much sold on a CBI, but now I'm seriously considering this one. Only things missing are the camp table and a relocation for rear camera and it would be perfect!!

I did on mine. I ran them through a grommet on the left side and extended the wires to the engine compartment through the firewall grommet to my spod. Really simple process honestly. You can run the wires under the trim where the carpet and door seals are.

Rear end is looking good... er :crazy:
I ran wires along the frame and up into the engine bay to my Spod, I think the harness I had with rigid dually's was long enough for that, I did use split loom for protection. (I have a CBI but really the same process)
When you get a chance can we see some more straight on pics to show how far the spare hangs down.
The spare is in the stock spot exactly, still want pics?
I'm a little new to off-road bumpers, so this might be a stupid question...
Has anyone made these or considered making these out of high yield-strength aluminum (e.g. 7000 series) to get the weight down significantly?
Aluminum will definitely take a lot less punishment than steel, but there might be a market for those who aren't doing super hardcore off-roading and need something between stock and steel.

My curiosity was in the amount of spare tire the new bumper exposed. Short answer, yes please.

A few manufacturers do, but this is a thread created by and for Shrockworks. Check out http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/198453-front-bumpers-5th-gens.html. The first post may not be fully up to date, so you will likely have to do a little digging.
