who hurt you?
contrast this shrockworks experience with my experience with Sherpa and their roof rack
a couple of months and one car wash after installing my Crestone rack, i noticed a couple (out of many) of the bolts were a little rusty. i emailed them and let them know that i was worried about the long term implications and they replied that they would send me an ENTIRE hardware set as a replacement. they said the specific lot I got might be troublesome so they wanted me to replace everything just in case
a company that will nickel and dime you for hardware probably nickel and dimed their product imo

This. If they can't get simple details right like making sure all hardware is in the box then what other details are they not getting right? They could redeem themselves by getting the hardware to OP but of course that means responding to emails & phone calls. Not looking good.

Sounds petty but when paying $2k and up for a bumper…. Wasting time trying to figure out what hardware you need and going to the store hoping they have it sucks.

My skids have been in ready-to-ship status for 3 weeks...:roll:
Update: Got the email notification that they're being shipped!
After buying two bumpers, I was surprised it was the skids where they let me down.
I was quoted 3-4 weeks in July, but I wasn't in any rush and I know they're swamped, but after 8 weeks I was getting a little concerned, especially with fall camping season being around the corner. So I called a couple of weeks ago and was told they were ready to be shipped. I called again last week and was even told that I'd get the tracking number by the end of the week. Still no tracking number this week, so I called again today to express my disappointment and got the shipment notification a couple of hours later.
Still like their products and I've generally had good customer service, but I'm kind of relieved that this was the last bit of armor I needed from them. :faint:

I ordered a rear bumper from Shrockworks two years ago and it came with everything necessary for install. Maybe they got a new guy that doesn’t really care much for quality shipping out products. Still sucks that they haven’t attempted to right this wrong.

And that would make sense now that the "milk has already been spilled." I'd do the same thing given the circumstances.

And that's how you keep a customer for life! Cutting corners in a niche business makes no sense to me. The 4Runner community is too small to for companies like ShockWorks to be pulling stunts like that off.
I ordered Shrockworks sliders a few years ago in a group buy. After seeing others here get their sliders and me getting nothing I called them. Without an invoice number or anything, I gave him my name and he knew exactly who I was, and where in the process my sliders were. When I got them two weeks later they were a fairly easy install for an old man (I'm 78).

My Shrockworks Rock Sliders are / were good to go. I did go buy longer bolts at the local hardware store which made messing with those damn stick nuts a lot easier.
However, I just tore a bolt out of my Shrockworks Skid Plates. Should've known the TRD integration skid plates were a bad idea.
Hind sight being 20/20 skip the TRD skid plate and go with a complete set of skids from a company that protects their bolt heads - RCI etc.
My Shrockworks Rock Sliders are / were good to go. I did go buy longer bolts at the local hardware store which made messing with those damn stick nuts a lot easier.

I have ordered 2-sets of sliders from shrockworks. Both arrived in a timely fashion, well-packaged and included mounting hardware and installation instructions. IMO shrockworks is a reputable company that offers a quality product. Reach out to them, I'm sure they'll take care of you.

Sorry for my negative post. Have had 3 failures recently - My Warn Winch burned out, blew out 3 of my 4 Eibach Shocks, and now the Shrockworks trans skid is bent / torn off.
Warn fixed my winch and sent it back to me.
Still waiting on word from Tire Rack / Eibach on my blown shocks and need to do something about this skid plate.

Sure, a stick-nut is simply a nut that is welded to a thin piece of flexible material so that you can bend and insert into the frame through one of the larger frame holes in order to reach the backside of a nut-less bolt hole. Toyota doesn't factory weld threaded nuts in all the bolts holes in a frame anymore, sometimes it varies by trim level. Since it is a closed box frame you need a way to fasten hardware to the frame with bolts/nuts and this is what someone came up with.
MIG is just a form of welder/welding, in case you want to weld instead of fasten... or make your own stick-nuts
