It's been wayyy to long since I've done anything. My shaatay back stopped me for a while after having a blast with other 4Runners at Rausch Creek and I missed the last trips because of it- BUT ANYHOW I finally ordered something to continue my quest for trail riding. I called into Shrockworks spoke to Mark there and ordered Rock rails. Nice guy. Easy to order. Now gotta find my zen yoga to wait the 2 months BUT it is cool that they make them, not some machine in China.

I aint got NO PICS so dont bother homey HAHA beat ya to the punch.

I hope to get into the saddle soon and ride with you all- it was awesome.

You ordered some SW gear, I installed my DDM 35W Raptor 5000K Fogs earlier today! I did discover that my fogs had reverse polarity, which didn't even cross my mind before I put them in....no wonder it didn't work the first time I plugged 'em in!

I hope you have better luck than I. I was told 6-8 weeks. I called at 6 weeks and was told it would be 2 more weeks, then I called at 8 weeks and was told it'd be another 2 weeks, then at 10 weeks I was told it would be another 2-3 weeks. Needless to say I cancelled my order.

Shrockworks has some really nice products but if they were honest to me from the begining I would not have cancelled my order.

I've heard all the excuses about how they are a small shop and whatever but there are other alternatives and I'm seeking those out now.

Sorry, dont mean to rain on your parade, I'm just a little bitter.

I've read and heard about those horror stories from many guys that ordered from SW. But their happiness and joy when they finally received the product made it all worth it for them! Sorry to hear you had a bad experience, I know how frustrating it can be waiting for something to get produced and shipped to ya!!!! It's like you're sitting at the computer refreshing the FedEx page just waiting for an update hahaha

Will be interesting to see how long it takes you to get them. I really want some of SW's stuff, but their lack of CS and God awful shipping times steers me away...

Congrats on the deal. How did ya pick those over something like Stubbs Home ? Stout, looks sharp and he makes em in a day or two.

I'm gonna go with these or the Addicted offroad sliders. I have access to a welder and actually prefer to weld them on anyways.

They are high quality, you'll love them. The install is a major PITA though. Make sure you have help and a floor jack.

Be very careful not to spread the arms too much when they go over the frame rail, or you can't get the nut threaded onto the bolt. I would get the nut just barely on, and tighten it up to squish the plates together. Then take it apart again and get the washer on.

Also, if the bolt is too long and hits the body anywhere, you'll need to sawzall or something to cut it shorter (after the install) so you don't get vibs going directly from the frame to body.

Also go to the hardware store and get some narrow anti-slip safety strips (for floors and steps) and put them down across the top so you get some traction for your shoes.

Thanks for all the feedback. It's a long wait but everyone whos got them loves em and I dont weld so I'll be patient and wait plus I need to meditate more anyway:biggrin2:
