I went with the Satin and then put 1" anti-slip on top of them the whole length. You can also just put strips under the doors or get creative with it.Had it on for about a year now and it's holding up great. The footing is very good when wet or even snow covered. You can also put some strips on the plastic rear bumper top for traction as it's slippery when wet! It already has the adhesive on it so just cut,peel and stick,no gluing or anything.
We use the same stuff out on the wings of airplanes for emergency exit paths. 3M anti-slip tape is some great stuff and is an industry standard in the boat and airplane world where they endure the harshest conditions.
I bought mine here because they sell it by the yard and pretty cheap....Non Skid Tape - 3M Anti Slip Scotch Safety Walk Tape Check out the video,Mike will tell you all about it!

I have the satin on mine and chose it because I figured it would be easier to touch up as they got scratched.
My sliders got a work out this past weekend and are pretty beat up on the bottoms now, if they had been textured it would have been a little more difficult to touch up. Now, I just need to hit it with some black spray paint and they are good as new.
Food for thought if you are going to be doing any offroading...

Satin with 2 supports on mine too, love them.
I am thinking about doing the same has Harper7 and putting a bit of grip tape on the top. But I need to remember that I rub the bar a touch when getting in and out.

I chose 2 supports and Satin finish. Oh yeah, don't forget to check both DS and PS rear frames mounting holes to make sure they have the captive nuts installed.

Check the Driver Side and Passenger Side to make sure they holes are threaded.

i ordered the black powdercoated (satin) finish with 2 supports only yesterday.
hoping to get them sooner rather than later, but i think i remember reading up to 3 month waits from shrockworks. how long did all of yours take to come in?

I ordered one of the first sets made...mine took so long I had forgotten that I had ordered them until I received the email notification that they had shipped. took probably 10 weeks from date of order.
But I have to say, they are worth the wait. They have saved my doors from several trees that I rubbed up against while trail riding.
Another install tip that worked well for me was to use an ATV/Motorcycle lift with a ratchet strap to raise the step and keep it stable while I mounted to the frame.

I'll take pics tomorrow and will post them here. Check your DS and PS rear frame holes first and find out where the captive nuts are located.
