I left Saturday and I saw on the news that afternoon that they were evacuating Luna, NM. High winds appearently kicked up the fire and pushed it across the border there. I spent a majority of my time there with my crew preping that town with hopes of avoiding that evacuation, oh well. When a fire is ambering over three miles there isn't a whole lot you can do. When I left there were 4,600 personel, 300+ engines, almost 500k acres burned and 50 million spent. They said it was 29% contained at that time but Im sure it went backwards when those winds kicked up on saturday and sunday.
