Lots of rain over the weekend, so I refurbished the emblems on my 87. Its a slow project, and mot perfect, but looks much better, sorry I dont have a before pic

I take it these are stuck to the pillar with double stick tape and are just painted on the back side of the plastic?

I had planned to do mine as well.

Older cars and some old guitar amplifier face plates use this trick.

What kind of glue did you use to put it back on the plastic cover

I used everything that I had to clean them, Wd-40, carb cleaner, purple power, hot water dish soap, goo gone, and vinegar. I didnt have any acetone. took a long time, then used bamboo skewers to pick at the specks of paint, it is slow.
the paint is silver and gold paint pens from walmart craft department. the black is rustoleum spray paint.
3M to sided tape, three strips horizontal fit perfect in the space. ($9.00 at walmart)
