Side Mirror Defroster

Yesterday driving my new to me 2005 v6 sport I couldnt find the side mirror defroster button. In my 97 Path they come on with the rear defroster, tried that and had no results...... Anyone help me on this?

There is not a separate switch... the defrost button turns them on along with the rear window. And they work great!

There is a separate button below the heater/AC controls for the rear window defrost. I believe the side mirror defrost comes on with the regular windshield defrost.

The Sport Editions (Limiteds too probably) have electrically heated side mirrors. They turn on when you hit the rear defroster button... just used them a few days ago.

I stand corrected, you are right. No wonder I couldn't get my outside mirrors to defrost when I was headed to the airport on E470 when it was -15 a few days ago.

Does anyone know if the wiring harness for these mirrors is already installed for vehicles not actually equipped with the mirrors? I would love heated side mirrors but would be looking for a plug and play option.

The Sport Editions (Limiteds too probably) have electrically heated side mirrors. They turn on when you hit the rear defroster button... just used them a few days ago.

WHAT???????????? really?? I have a Limited but NO "heated" symbol on my mirrors

Sweet! I was kinda choked my 06 Ltd didn't come with them when we had our first freeze this year. Thanks guys. So rear defrost button does the trick hey! Would front defrost work as well?

The side mirror heating elements turn on with the "rear defroster" button at the bottom of the climate control panel.

My mirrors don't have any type of "heated" symbol on them. Our Subaru's have a little symbol on them though... their later models now have a single switch, too.
