on the older model 4th gens say 04...the side molding makes the top of the wheel well look flat....& I wanna know would it be possible to ( if found ) switch my 08's side molding ( makes wheel well look round ) to the older style easily...I want to get an offroad bumper in the future and I think the lines of the older style side molding/wheel wells look better.

side cladding

If I/m understanding right no would be my 1st guess due to the fact 06-09 have newer 1 piece sides , unlike mine which have the cladding held on by clips . Older members can comment about this but you might have to replace the bumper ?

You say you're getting a bumper, but if you wanna change it all you'll have to change both bumpers for everything to line up.

I don't know about the previous comment about '06 flares. If that's true it'd be a problem as well. If the 06-09s also have separate flares from the body then it probably wouldn't be a problem.

I'd check a couple of toyota parts websites and see if the listings are the same for '03 & '06 fenders, if they are then the flares are probably pretty easily changeable.

My bad gaterose . I thought from 06 on they had made it so the fender piece was molded with no clips , to solve the separation problem ; as in them pulling away from body ?

Post # 46. Talk to that guy, seems like he's in the process of trying to do what you want to do.
