I prefer the tubes to the running boards, especially now that they are all black - yuck. I remember on my 2000 Sport, it was silver and the running boards were also silver (color matched), the same as the limiteds. Now, however, ALL of the 4runners, Limited, Sport, and SR5, ALL have the black running boards.

You also did not start a thread about religion. You just decided to drop in here to hijack a perfectly good argument about why one poster thinks his running boards are "gay-ass".

Perhaps you could start your own discussion on the off topic board about how we can all be better (insert religion of choice here) people. In the meantime, I will continue to come here solely for 4Runner discussion.

I agreee 100% the 4Runner looks better without them.

But I like the protection side steps/bars offer. A 3" lift does not make getting in or out easier. Plus the steps also allow washing/drying if I don't feel like getting out the aluminum step platform.
