side swiped

I was side swiped by a f350 towing a trailer. He changed lanes onto me, our vehicles made contact and as I applied the brakes, the front corner of his trailer hooked my quarter panel. He pulled me down the road a few hundred feet and ran me up onto the curb.

Over $9k in damage with 4 new tires

Holy mother of goodness! When I read the title, I expected a few scratched. He ripped you up! I would have been pissed!
Hope you were ok!

It appears to be cosmetic parts and sheet metal. How fast were you and him going? When you hit the curb was it at a fast speed? I would definitely get the alignment checked out to be sure nothing is tweaked.

from a fellow wounded 4runner (owner), i feel your pain. Mine has been taken to the shop for estimate/repair. Will report back with a number soon,
Hope it's better than new once you get 'er back

Good Lord!! I'm glad everyone made it out alive. As bad as it sucks/Looks, it can be fixed. Time will heal these wounds.. Have patience grasshopper, it will all work out.

Glad no one was injured. Could have easily sent you into a spin if the trailer had gotten caught up in the body or chassis.
Bet it sounded horrific when it was happening though!:happens:

... a f350 towing a trailer. He changed lanes onto me...

Glad you're OK.
He obviously didn't see you or misjudged or forgot he had a trailer. Was he passing you and at what speed did this happen? City street or freeway? What was his excuse?
Says something about the integrity of the T4R.

Hey Guys,

Yeah we are all ok. He did stop and he did receive a ticket. He was trying to make an exit on the highway and just came over. I laid on the horn, but he kept a coming. I was towing a trailer too so my evasive maneuvers were limited. Just sucks not having my runner.

Had to use my extra loud add-on horns yesterday for the same sort of thing...
Fortunately it worked as I could not move right or slow down fast enough.
