Side Window Deflectors

I know this comes up from time to time and did a search but soliciting additional comments. I just installed a set of Ventshade brand side window deflectors on my 2006 Sport. They have the two sided tape attached. I've had these before and typically, 3 windows work fine and in one the channel gets blocked so the window catches trying to close. By that time, all the tape has adhered and you're committed. Sure enough, all but the passenger front seemed to work, that one the window hangs up. That was 3 days ago. Then today I run the driver's window up and "crunch" the Ventshade shatters. I followed all the directions about temperature, leaving the window up first 24 hours, etc. They were a gift so can't return them. Is this brand just a POS and something else works better? Seems to me that Toyota didn't mean for anything but the window glass to be in that channel. I note that Weathertech just pops in w/o tape. Are they any better. Any personal experience appreciated.

I had the VentVisors on an older '90 model 4Rnr - one cracked -- I wrote them and they mailed me a new one free of charge.

I like the WeatherTech ones ('03 4Rnr) much better - real quality product. I bought the front with the regular tint and th rear with the darker. They perfectly match the OEM window tinting. I also have the bug/stone deflector.

i have my vent visor sittin' in my garage, i tried installing it but i was not really satisfied how it fits (in-channel) it bothers me, it looks too tight and everytime i close the window it hits the visor so i decided not to put it... i might try the weathertech sometime in the future...

Oh Yeah, Big Time. i did have the AutoVentShade brand and it is a waste of money! i later ended buying WeatherTech's and the latter is a much much better quality, craftsmanship and perfect fit.

Thanks for the info. That's what I wanted to know.
